Recent Outfits

Hi I have some recent outfits to share… some all the way back from September and August!

♡ Top, Skirt: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Bag: Evelyn ♡

You can see how old this one is because I was having an ants problem in my house during the summer and moved my furniture around for it I had a limited closet since I didn’t want them to risk being crawled on (ugh).

Anyway, thankfully it’s been solved since, but I really liked this outfit that I put together at that time It’s just two Liz Lisa pieces together but I really think these two designs are one of their cutest ones they’ve released in the recent years!

It’s so tempting to want them in more than one colour but I try to resist the temptation since I know I will only wear one colourway by habit I was really happy to find these overknee socks that fit my size as well since most socks are quite tight on me

♡ Dress: Evelyn ♡
♡ Cardigan: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright ♡
♡ Hat: tocco closet ♡
♡ Shoes: Lodispotto ♡
♡ Bag: Maison de Fleur ♡

We had an outdoor picnic at work, so I wore this summmery season muted outfit featuring lots of assorted j-fashion brands I really love this dress since it’s pink with white polka dots, like furoshiki I was surprised that it was surprisingly stretchy and roomy!

The purse is one of my favourites but it doesn’t typically match my outfits since it’s so warm-toned, so I’m happy I got to use it It fits this kind of casual outdoor outfit very well I think!

♡ Shoes: Lodispotto ♡

I recall the day I wore this outfit was so sticky and hot outside I really didn’t want to get dressed but decided to wear this casual lightweight outfit. Evelyn puts out a lot of cute knit tops and I love that it’s helped me pick out more tops in colours other than white

♡ Top, Shoes, Bag: Evelyn ♡
♡ Skirt: Liz Lisa ♡

Sorry for my hair in this photo, some days it just be like that… but I really really liked this outfit!! It’s probably clear at this point that I’m in love with these shoes (I actually ended up buying it in all 3 colours which is SUPER rare for me to do) since they match everythig in my wardrobe I was surprised how versatile the Many Hearts skirt is with my closet too since I think it’s quite patterned and decorated compared to my ‘plainer’ closet.

The Evelyn top was one that I wanted buy when my housemate was in Japan in March, but it was out of stock already when she went to the store so when I saw a cheap secondhand listing I snagged it right away! I’m so glad I did even though I was worried it wouldn’t fit; it’s actually very stretchy and so so comfy!

♡ Setup: Secret Honey ♡
♡ Shoes: Ank Rouge ♡
♡ Bag: Evelyn ♡

I’ve never owned any setups from Secret Honey but I’ve always been interested in trying them out since I always see Amber in our himekaji server wearing suuuch cute setups from them I’m really glad I sprung for this design since I absolutely love the neutral gray and how comfy it is! I like how the detailing is simple and the fabric is lightweight yet not loose or prone to wrinkling.

Fun fact but I wore this to a hot pot party with my friends and somehow I ended up with so much sauce and hot pot broth on me On the top, the shorts, everything. But it washed right out with plain soap. It was quite scary to look at lol!

♡ Top: Brandy Melville ♡
♡ Skirt: Honey Cinnamon ♡
♡ Shoes: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Bag: Evelyn ♡

This was my pre-Halloween outfit which I wore to the office

I really love the silly skeletons, so I try to wear this top as often as I can while it’s extra in-season (since you know, spooky season is all year) This is one of my favourite secondhand finds, it makes me happy every time I see it

♡ Dress: Honey Cinnamon ♡
♡ Headband: Angelic Pretty (thank you jume!!) ♡
♡ Shoes: Dear My Love ♡

For our Halloween party, I wore my Honey Cinnamon diner dress which I bought ages ago for cheap and have never worn My manz ended up “pairing” with me by wearing an Ank Rouge setup (his idea), it’s so funny he can fit my clothes but it makes it easy to match His comment on the wearability was “it’s actually very comfortable” but “a little chilly” (probably because the sweater top became a crop top on his height )

Since I already dress ‘alternative’ (lightly stated because I think I often dress quite plain for j-fashion), I really was hoping for something extra/cutesy to add and thankfully Jumelle lent me her adorable rabbit cafe headband which matched well! Pinks are so hard to match but this headband brilliantly has two shades of pink so it could match both I guess

As a bonus, this was my favourite Halloween decoration I saw

Also, I didn’t notice until assembling this post but I’ve really been using my Evelyn white bag a lot. I was nervous buying it since I stress a lot when buying new items direct from the store but I’m so happy I went for this one since it’s really compatible with my wardrobe

September Tea Party

Wow, it has been such a long time since I last shared We had our September tea party today with the theme, Tea Time in the Starry Sky.

Usually I don’t share the invite on this blog since it’s not necessary, but I really loved how this one came out. I am really loving the periwinkle blues with pink recently

I originally planned this theme to be for a ‘night-time picnic’ and it was so cute to see the different interpretations of it! Amber shared that she wore Romantic Messages skirt because she loves reading at night (so cute ) For me, I wore Sweet Tart since I… am a midnight snacker. LOL and Rae made her own shirt in a tenshi/angelic style! Sarah wore the cutest space buns and the rarely-seen Liz Lisa constellation skirt that I still think is one of their more adorable prints.

♡ Dress, Shoes, Socks, Bows: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Bag: Maison de Fleur ♡

This print is very “old school” Liz Lisa, I think, so I had to dress it up with frillier pieces than I typically do. These tea parties are nice to give us a chance to change up what we wear day-to-day, though we also want it to be casual and comfy if people prefer!

I really love the blue polka dot bows on this dress The pink version has, of course, pink polka dot but it’s quite rare to find Sweet Tart in pink, so I’m happy with this blue colourway!

As part of preparing for this tea party’s outfit, I did my nails earlier this week using various designs from Pinterest as inspiration! Though it’s a bit different (more silver and holographic), I really love the pink and blue colours together, so that’s how I themed it.

They’re press-ons, which I don’t usually do, because I’m not very good at keeping press-ons… on. I thought this would be a fun chance to try different designs that I can rotate out quicker and practice different nail techniques, though, so we will see.

Just last night, I picked up this candle from Bath & Body Works, Snowy Peach Berry I really love it, it’s very light (for B&BW, anyway) and sweet, and I think it won’t make my housemates think that someone is eating candy nearby! Anyway, I got this from the Fashion Island location which was… entirely super empty on a Friday - I remember when this mall used to be so packed! I wonder why it has gotten so empty?

A fun thing to share, I finally wanted to put up a few decorations on my wall Though it’s a bit temporary for now as I try to figure out what kind of shelves and wall decor to commit to. The splash of colour makes me very happy to see!

I’ll hope to talk about my shelf thoughts and plans soon Deciding how to decorate a room feels difficult as there are so many designs and decisions, but I feel like it’s good to remember it’s okay to try thing temporarily and let yourself live happier in the moment.
