Hello Happy Saturday How was your day today? Even though I was a bit sickly on Friday and slept nearly all day, after my workout today we only had time to do a bit of errands before I fell asleep for another long nap. I’ve just been so tired this week!

This week has felt very long, but I hope yours has been well Even though I feel like I did nothing productive today, at least I had my workout, so I’m happy about that.

Nerdy Things: A few days ago, I upgraded the Node version of the site and it seems to not have crashed and crumbled despite lots of funky initial issues I’m hoping to upgrade the platform of it soon so it doesn’t run on an abandoned one anymore I don’t think I have mentioned it here, but this blog runs on customized Gatsby (that’s why sometimes there are glitches… lol) back when that platform was very popular, but it is in dire need of an update to something more modern, so that’s my next project.

I’m very excited for it.

Also, I discovered Github Codespaces for the first time, and isn’t that cool - you can develop quite reliably on your iPads now! I’m hoping I will be able to update this blog while in Japan, but if you don’t hear from me here during the trip, I didn’t end up getting it to work after all then

During one of the evenings, I turned some Shirokumas into keychains

This activity is so relaxing Since most of my hobbies are digital (even for reading, I prefer audiobooks) it’s really nice to work on things physically with my hands.

It is really rare that I purchase from Korea (since the overseas shipping is EMS-level pain, lol) but, I managed to snag this idang bag for a great price and in basically perfect condition - I’m so happy about it

My photos app reminded me that in college, I used a “schoolbag” with tons of charms all over it… that was quite a long time ago It gave me some warm feeling of nostalgia to use a “schoolbag” shaped bag now, even though it’s a bit more of a purse shape

Hello How are you today?

It’s getting quite bright and even warm outside now! Though I don’t like to be in the sun, it is really nice to have sunny weather brightening up the days

I’m writing this on my lunch break, as even with the sunlight, I’m getting drowsy lol

I just shared about my new workout gear from Fun + Cute recently, but they had a sale and you know how small brands rarely have sales - so I picked up their Snowdrop active mini dress that I had been wanting! I was nervous about the fit because a lot of athletic mini dresses don’t suit my height, but this one ends up at a super cute length without being too long!

For sports dresses with inbuilt bras, I normally pick the size for my sports bra (which is sized up for me), so I was a little worried the dress would be too loose… but after lacing the dress up tighter it fits perfectly. I’m really excited to wear this a lot soon

As for the pink top + leggings I shared last time, I’ve worn them to work out already, and they feel so comfortable and very cheerful Cute workout gear really feels different

They also sent me a free pair of starry grip socks for making a second order!

After a long time of not being in the mood to journal, I started again earlier this week, and it feels so nice. I picked a tiny A7 sized ring binder to make it easy. I missed physically journalling a lot I know it benefits a lot mentally even if I’m just decorating for some days, so I’m happy I’ve returned to a nice habit

This ring binder is from Korean stationery brand Dreamy Lights, but I received a defective one with a missing letter on the cover. I covered the defect with a sticker

Finally, I took some time to clean my desk today to get rid of dust, and rearrange the cute things. I tried for a less cluttered look, but I can’t help putting out so much small decorations

It’s really nice to redo living spaces every once in a while, especially if you spend a lot of joy time there. At least, I know that for me, it’s very refreshing

Most of all, I really can’t stand dust, so I’m happy that I could clean the surface easier if there’s less objects. But I don’t think I’ll ever be too minimal with decorations, so dust struggles will always continue

For instance, the funzone is getting pretty filled! I don’t know what to do if I get any more goodies… though I guess I always find a place for them
