Thursday

I have not written in a while, and I have lots of small, happy things to share with you Actually, I am super behind on sharing my outfits too, so I’ll just share a few here and there

As an aside, it’s spooky season now I can’t wait to look at all the cute houses near my manz new neighborhood. I wonder if they decorate a lot there?

Really wish I did my hair for this outfit, but I was really exhausted this day. I felt extremely comfy and cosy in this outfit though, which made me happy Liz Lisa is almost unbeatable for the cuteness & comfort factor. I think I finally found the right size insole for my evelyn shoes too since I bought the wrong size (heh… I bought those in-store after trying them on )

I actually wore this outfit a few times already, but it’s my favourite silhouette. I love this cardigan from MA*RS so much and I got a great deal on it at the time too! I’m really happy this evelyn skirt ended up fitting me since I really love the style, but was afraid it would be too small like most evelyn items - thankfully it’s comfy

Sweater and skirt This skirt is one of my oldest Liz Lisa pieces (part of a setup) and it’s gotten so much well-loved wear over the years.

This tweed-style double layer skirt from Liz Lisa overtook my brain when it came out I really love tweed texture Since I wear a lot of plain or nonprints, I feel like it adds another layer to a muted outfit.

We had to do a quick Ikea run and I really didn’t want to get dressed, so I threw on something casual and easy to wear… but got carried away digging through my closet I found this super old fake overknee tights that I figured why not wear? Anyway, the final look isn’t exactly something I’d usually wear as it feels quite dated with the tights but I like that it ended up looking a bit dressy without much effort

♡ Dress: MA*RS ♡

A while back, I found white loafers that are almost exactly in the style of my black Rojita shoes, and I had to get them immediately! Though… I’m not super sure if I like how they look on me after all Anyway, I don’t have too much to share about this outfit in general except I wear the combination quite a lot (this MA*RS dress + DML long jacket) - super comfy!!

I am really loving white and blue

♡ Dress: Pium ♡

♡ Shoes: Rojita ♡

One of my favourite purchases within the last year is this Pium dress I was really hoping it would fit me since I don’t have tiny measurements but thankfully not only does it fit, it’s incredibly comfortable and soft and I have no fear of getting itchy in this tightly-fitted dress! Wore this outfit out to an outdoor baby shower on a very hot day and it performed very well

Normally I don’t like the sensation of tightly-fitted clothes, so I have to emphasise just how comfortable this dress is. I definitely feel like I can sleep in it As for the outfit itself, I think I just want a black purse to go with it properly.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐★
Genre: Horror
Summary Four hikers on a research project disappear in the wilderness, only for the bodies to start mysteriously showing up... or at least, parts of them. B-Grade Horror Movie meets contemporary Dyatlav Pass
Opening Line What baffled them was the skeleton. The other bodies were weird, but they couldn't figure out the fucking skeleton. Just bones, no soft tissue: Not one scrap of skin left.

As an enjoyer of haunted locations, I really enjoyed reading this novel recently. It did fizzle out a bit at the end and I didn’t care for the last conflict, but overall, I couldn’t put it down. One of the cast is a rock climber, which I found really interesting, since my manz is into rock climbing, so that was fun!

Anyway, I thought this was a fun and easygoing horror novel, sort of like those “beach novel” types, I think.

For my birthday, my dangie booked a “big knit” class to take with me and we made these CHONKY knitted goods that are pretty trendy in Korea! Since she already made the bag, she opted to make a pillow this time, which turned out very cute

Look at them… don’t they look like a delicious bread

She also treated me to mokkoji (their vegetarian portion is HUGE!!) and her local milk tea place, Craftea We had such a lovely catch up over lunch, which was much needed since it had been over half a year since we last saw each other

Tiny new thing: I bought a portable battery to replace my old one since it was a hassle to use with multiple different converter cords… and decorated it with some stickers I’ve been saving for something cute!

I’m really happy with it, as it comes with two attached cords for USB-C and the one with the lines for older iphones (I don’t remember what it’s called…), so my manz doesn’t need to complain anymore when he watches too much youtubes while out and I have no cord to charge his phone. It also supports wireless charging, but I don’t really use wireless charging.

Anyway, those are just a few things to share for now. I’ll write again to you soon for other happy things.

Tuesday

Hello, how are you Today, I am writing to share some outfits and fun daily things with you

Recently, I wore this casual outfit to celebrate my cousin’s birthday with macaron shopping from Honey and Butter and omakase I treated her to the lovely Hamachi Sushi Express in La Habra, which is a bit out of the way but very lovely - they have such wonderful service and fresh fish. Unfortunately, I didn’t realise omakase sometimes serves oyster or other clam-shelled creatures so I couldn’t eat that one, but we were so happy with everything else So next time, I know to request for no clam-shelled creatures, lol

I really loved this outfit a lot because it’s easy and simple, and you can eat a whole omakase course without feeling restricted

This outfit is a little different for me, but I found it very comfortable to wear. Though I wasn’t super happy with my previous Pium knit piece, this cardigan set is very stretchy and loose and has no fitting discomfort at all, so I’m really happy with it This MA*RS skirt is extremely short, so I’m planning to attach some lace or something to the bottom to hopefully add a little bit of length Thankfully, it’s a sukapan so very easy to wear!

♡ Dress, Bag: Evelyn ♡
♡ Shoes: Jill by Jill Stuart ♡

Even though I received this Evelyn dress a few months ago, I was too scared to try it on for fear that it wouldn’t fit because I adore the design so much But thankfully, it seems to fit okay, and I asked jumelle for fitting advice in case it’s just my hopeful self wanting it to fit. I’m not as petite as evelyn models, but surprisingly, this dress is extremely stretchy, so it makes me very happy to be able to wear this piece Though, I am trying to fight off the fear of needing to wear shapewear with this, since bodies naturally aren’t shaped to be super flat, you know?

We went to have sushi with friends at Fisherman’s Table Yamasaki in Huntington Beach, which was all of our first times there, but it was so delicious and well-valued! For $39 you get a mini omakase! I say mini, because the pieces of fish are smaller, but everything is nicely varied and my manz even liked it more than Ohshima which has value through huge fatty fish I was also so full that I couldn’t finish the last pieces of the set meal

We also had this funny matcha affogato where the matcha is poured over the ice cream and hardens into kind of like a frozen chocolate texture!

Jumelle made me an earl grey latte last week and put it into the cute bear cup she got from Korea She topped it with dalgona, which was so delicious. I had never had actual dalgona before, even though I make a lot of “dalgona coffee” (a 2020 recipe that stuck).

My cousin gave me this Rilakkuma travel cup that her husband won from from Round 1, which I’ve been using every day for my matcha lattes It makes me so happy to see

One of my newest recent hobbies has been making small keychains. I purchased this charm with my friend Tali at Fanime last year (artist: skradio) so we have matching Jing Yuans, but the original clip was too difficult for me to open with long nails, so I modified it slightly with some additional charms as well Since I don’t have him attached anywhere currently, I think I may attach him to one of my ring binders later

Finally, recently, I received this adorable postcard from Didi which made me very happy
