September Tea Party

Wow, it has been such a long time since I last shared We had our September tea party today with the theme, Tea Time in the Starry Sky.

Usually I don’t share the invite on this blog since it’s not necessary, but I really loved how this one came out. I am really loving the periwinkle blues with pink recently

I originally planned this theme to be for a ‘night-time picnic’ and it was so cute to see the different interpretations of it! Amber shared that she wore Romantic Messages skirt because she loves reading at night (so cute ) For me, I wore Sweet Tart since I… am a midnight snacker. LOL and Rae made her own shirt in a tenshi/angelic style! Sarah wore the cutest space buns and the rarely-seen Liz Lisa constellation skirt that I still think is one of their more adorable prints.

♡ Dress, Shoes, Socks, Bows: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Bag: Maison de Fleur ♡

This print is very “old school” Liz Lisa, I think, so I had to dress it up with frillier pieces than I typically do. These tea parties are nice to give us a chance to change up what we wear day-to-day, though we also want it to be casual and comfy if people prefer!

I really love the blue polka dot bows on this dress The pink version has, of course, pink polka dot but it’s quite rare to find Sweet Tart in pink, so I’m happy with this blue colourway!

As part of preparing for this tea party’s outfit, I did my nails earlier this week using various designs from Pinterest as inspiration! Though it’s a bit different (more silver and holographic), I really love the pink and blue colours together, so that’s how I themed it.

They’re press-ons, which I don’t usually do, because I’m not very good at keeping press-ons… on. I thought this would be a fun chance to try different designs that I can rotate out quicker and practice different nail techniques, though, so we will see.

Just last night, I picked up this candle from Bath & Body Works, Snowy Peach Berry I really love it, it’s very light (for B&BW, anyway) and sweet, and I think it won’t make my housemates think that someone is eating candy nearby! Anyway, I got this from the Fashion Island location which was… entirely super empty on a Friday - I remember when this mall used to be so packed! I wonder why it has gotten so empty?

A fun thing to share, I finally wanted to put up a few decorations on my wall Though it’s a bit temporary for now as I try to figure out what kind of shelves and wall decor to commit to. The splash of colour makes me very happy to see!

I’ll hope to talk about my shelf thoughts and plans soon Deciding how to decorate a room feels difficult as there are so many designs and decisions, but I feel like it’s good to remember it’s okay to try thing temporarily and let yourself live happier in the moment.

Summer outfits

♡ Setup: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Shoes: Evelyn ♡
♡ Bag: Maison de Fleur ♡

This setup is from Mina It’s sooo comfortable and I love the gently brown plaid. This shade of brown is quite unusual in my closet and I almost thought it was hard to coordinate with anything but white until I remembered my Korilakkuma Maison de Fleur tote - they match so well!

♡ Top, skirt: Liz Lisa ♡

I really love wearing the Many Hearts skirt from the setup, it has such a cute print that’s easy to match. I’m glad I picked it up on the re-release! It was another super hot day but thankfully we were mostly staying inside.

♡ Top, skirt, hair accessory: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Socks: Tabio ♡
♡ Slippers: Tutuanna ♡

We had a July house party so I decided to dress up so I’m not a gremlin haunting the back of the house. I don’t usually wear things that look too cute but I decided to try putting the “super cute” pieces together into an outfit. It was really hot out, so I put my hair up in a way I don’t usually style it to keep cool

♡ Romper: Ank Rouge ♡
♡ Cardigan: Liz Lisa ♡
♡ Shoes: Lodispotto ♡

This romper from Ank Rouge is both practical and extremely comfy I like pairing it with this knit cardigan so that the solid white colour doesn’t look too heavy. I wore this outfit for our fruits-themed June tea party
