I bought some cute things recently Even though I’m going to Japan soon and will probably get buried in spring shopping, I don’t find it easy to shop secondhand there (at least not the styles I like), so I picked up a few pieces anyway.

Okay, I was trying my best to avoid buying Evelyn since I drop so much $ on them that I have no doubt I’ll do so in Japan (lol), but this dress was just the sweetest version of the styles I’ve been loving lately - and it comes in grey! Basically, I feel like it’s a cuter and more versatile version of the pium dress designs I’ve been admiring, but in a palette and cut that I’ll definitely wear more easily

Despite being a new and popular instantly-sold-out style, someone listed this for cheap NWT so I had to snag it! I was honestly a little nervous the grey tone won’t look good against my skin (the colour is very hit or miss for me, even if I love grey) but since it’s lighter toned, I think it’s passable

A short and fluffy dress from GRL. This is an older design, so I was able to find a listing of it for very cheap! It’s made of a slightly thicker material so maybe I might’ve passed the season for this Regardless, er, it might not photograph well in this pic I took (LOL) but I feel like it’s cuter in person! I was nervous it would look too puffy on me but I think it ends up okay

This GRL dress absolutely looks like sleepwear so I had to pick it up

It’s super soft, and I love having an ez slip dress for outings where I don’t have to worry about my scaly legs Anyway, I’m happy it fits super well too! - generally, GRL runs a bit taller for someone as short as me, so sometimes I’m unsure how their fits would end up length-wise on me. I am very happy with it, moreso than my last year’s ez slip beige dress, which I wore and enjoyed a lot but I think it’s a bit too formal for me so I’m trading it out for this one.

These Esperanza shoes apparently come out every year! So, for quite a few years I’ve wanted some offwhite heeled boots to wear with long dresses but never found one that suited… until Evelyn came out with one… but I hestitated too long and it sold out After thinking about it, I realised I really do prefer wearing platforms, so I managed to snag this style on a big discount.

I was really nervous about the fit since M size (my usual) stated it was 23.0-23.5cm, but the L size sounded too large at 24.0-24.5, so I just really hoped it would fit (I know, a gambler). Thankfully, it fits super comfy and doesn’t feel small at all! I’m so happy I finally have a shoe in this style! I particularly chose this design because of the sparkles on the heel which I felt like added a little design to an otherwise plain silhouette

On the search for cute loungewear (my favourite ) where I don’t feel so grungey when working from home , I came across Angel Ruche with these two cute sets. Honestly, I wonder if you can find similar sets on cfashion shops since this is a very popular look but anyway, I have been trying to support small brands. I actually purchased this right before the initial set of China tariffs went into place, so their customer service actually reversed the package shipment and redid it to try to help avoid a high customs fee! I was really surprised It was so thoughtful that they pre-emptively did this as my inquiry sent to them was after the change (I was confused b/c I got two tracking numbers - but it was because they redid the shipment asap)

This is their 3-piece “Ballerina Bliss” set that I actually like most in pink, but went with white since pink was OOS. Aside from some confusion how to tie the top lol it’s so cute in person!! I think I’m still a bit flat for the XS/S size, but after some adjustments I think I got it to stay on better I really like this and hope I’ll eventually be able to order the pink set. It’s extremely comfortable and each piece is versatile!

Though the top is see through (not lined) if you don’t layer them, the skirt is lined heavily so I don’t think it’s see through at all (maybe if you wear black unders, but I haven’t tried it).

I also got the “Strawberry Milk” cable knit set. I think this one is not very petite friendly (at least compared with the model’s styling) even at XS/S - I think the jacket is a bit long for a cropped fit (still cute though - I think it just doesn’t fit with the skirt), and the skirt is pretty loose That said, I think it’ll still work well as a relaxing “work from home” set, which is what I ordered it for! The knit is very soft and the jacket has a heart zipper

The two accessories (hair clips, ribbon legwarmers) were free gifts

Don't mind the boxes... doing some spring cleaning

A different day: this is how I styled the skirt with my work from home outfit! I’ve been trying to change out of my pyjamas more often when working from home… The colour is extremely close to Lululemon’s Strawberry Milkshake - with the Angel Ruche set being just a tad warmer!

This is the Moonflower bra & Star Princess leggings from Fun+Cute in pink frosting I was eyeing this for a long time, so I’m really happy I finally sprung for it as it’s just such a cute pink colour! The inseam is long for my height, but the fabric is really lovely and compressive

Again, I had to reach out to Customer Service to inquire about the sizing and they were very personable and helpful with my questions. The fabric for this set is very “cooling” compared to my other athleisure, so I’m hoping it’ll be really comfy in spring/summer (maybe summer is a stretch since it gets so hot…)

The workout set is a little gift to myself that I wanted for a while because I’m happy that I’ve been doing well committing to my workouts Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m not very good at committing to consistency so something like working out is fairly tough to keep going to!

Not only have I been going consistently, I feel like I’ve been improving Some exercises I could barely do in the beginning are definitely seeing improvements My manz even says I complain less about my back pain, so I’m hoping that it’s helping with that as well!

I don’t know if I have mentioned here before that I used to go to studio barre 3-4x (and at one point 4-5x) a week. Eventually, I’d really like to do just as much workouts as then Although for now, I’m trying to keep my pacing balanced since I’m (older and not as fit lol) trying to make sure I’m working out healthily.

The interesting thing about my workouts now is that they’re very different from barre. The cardio half always makes me feel like I’m moments away from perishing but the weights half makes it super fun! I was always a little afraid of weights because of how easily I can get injured. However, I’m happy that I can still have a lot of fun working out in a safer environment Every coach at this place has been so receptive and attentive to my health concerns.

I think that I wouldn’t have had the confidence to try this kind of workout if I hadn’t done barre for so long. I remember trying various types of classes using ClassPass and struggling a lot for some of them and barely being able to keep up at all. I often hurt my back

So thankfully, I think I’ve gotten to a point where I can try them now
